Onslow County, North Carolina Deed Book

1779-1785 Abstract and Index

A message from the author: 

I discovered on FamilySearch an Onslow County, North Carolina deed book dated from 1779-1785 that, unlike all of the county's other deed books, apparently has never been indexed anywhere except for a fairly good grantee index in the front of the book itself.  As I need information from these deeds for my Onslow County tax list dating project, I decided to index them more fully and to abstract them briefly for my own use.  As it would be useful to others as a supplement to the other indexing and abstracting of Onslow deeds available, I would like to share the resulting 30-page Index and abstracts with others whom it could help.  

Permission is hereby given to print it out and provide a complete copy for the GFO Library, and/or to post a complete copy with attribution on the GFO website.  Individuals may make single copies for their personal use.
