Donation Land Claims - Rejected Claims

Donation Land Claims were granted to settlers of the Oregon Territory who arrived prior to 1853 (see our DLC brochure). Some of these claims did not meet the criteria and were rejected.  The files contain considerable genealogical data whether they were completed or rejected. Originals of these claims are located in the National Archives in Washington, D.C. The GFO has copies on microfilm and we will copy the entire claim file for you. Use our index of rejected claim holders to determine the claim office and claim number. The cost is $10 for the first ten pages and 50¢ for each additional page. You may request digital copies (the easiest to read), paper copies, or a CD. If you would like paper copies and a CD, an additional $1 will be added.

To determine the cost for your file, please submit this form with information about your order.  After receiving an estimate, you can use this form to make payment.

The link below points to the index pages which contain 841 claims.
