Abstract:
The Ready Collection is a compilation of family history research by Bill Ready. Most files focus on a single surname and collateral families. The files contain pedigree charts, descendant reports, and family group sheets, most notated with additional information such as sources or biographical sketches. A few files include correspondence. The most common surnames are Bates, Coffman, Gardner, Martin, Ready, and Thomas. Many of the families moved south from New England to settle in Virginia, Kentucky, and the Carolinas, eventually settling in Oklahoma and Texas.
