Abstract: The Porter Collection was compiled by Denali Porter and pulls together decades of research on the lines of her husband James Richard “Dick” Porter (1926-2015). The files, originally in binders organized by family lines, include reports and research notes, family group sheets, biographical sketches, and copies of records and photographs. The most prominent surnames are Jones, Minnis, Porter, and Sonnenberg. The research goes back at least four generations for each line. All of the families migrated to Oregon, arriving from Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, and Wisconsin.
