The Maranville Collection contains work compiled by Dora Belle (Maranville) Steffey. It includes correspondence, research notes, ancestor charts, and family group records. There are memoirs, letters in which family members reminisce about their early lives, and biographical sketches, all of which help tell the stories of the ancestors’ lives. There are copies and transcripts of early Bible records, some of which appear to be unique to this collection. The most common surnames are Walker, Willson, Grinnell, Foster, and Maranville.
