Abstract: The Hill Collection contains genealogical and family history information gathered by the authors. The bulk of the collection’s content spans the early 17th century through the early 20th century, with correspondence dating to 1995. The research focuses on families in the New England states of New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts. Some of the correspondence contains information that may be unique to this collection, including information taken from family Bibles, readings from cemetery stones, and personal accounts about the families that were being researched at the time of the materials’ creation. There are also copies of genealogies compiled by other researchers. Prominent surnames include Webber, Fernald, Woodman, Elwell, Rider, Holt, and Clough.
