Abstract:

The Dyer-Wells Collection is a compilation of family history papers, correspondence, and photo albums relating to the families of Josephine Wells and her husband William Lacey Wells (1885-1943). They likely passed down to her son Dyer Willard “Mike” Wells (1918-1998) who died in Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon. There is also a narrative by his wife Joan Marie (Duryee) Wells about her family. The collection includes two folders of personal correspondence between Dyer Wells and his parents during World War II. There is also correspondence and notes regarding family history.
