The Douglas County Marriage Records appear in two volumes, Book 1 (1852-1871) and Book 2 (1871-1879). These books appear under the title of "Book of Record of Inventories in Probate Court for Umpqua County Oregon." Douglas County was created from a portion of Umpqua County on January 7, 1852. The county takes up much of the southwest portion of Oregon.
