The first “service flag” to be displayed in Klamath Falls, is hanging in the window of Underwood’s pharmacy. It is the regulation design—blue stars on a white field, with a border of red.
The flag on display has three stars, indicating that three former employes of the drug store are now wearing the khaki of Uncle Sam. They are:
- Clifford Sevits, now stationed at Fort Stevens
- Albert Jones, Fort Wm. H. Seward
- Arthur Boleo, Washington, D.C.
