The Gresham volunteer fire department has been presented with a service flag on which a star will be placed for each member or former member who has gone into the service of the United States. The flag was present from Mrs. L. C. Merrill, wife of the chief. Ten members of the department are honored with a star. They are:

- Leslie St. Clair
- Frank Hamlin
- Wallace Wilkinson
- Bert Hoss
- William Dophnie
- Ed Canniff
- Lee Merrill
Navy
