Abstract:
The Yates collection is a compilation of personal family history research. Most files contain correspondence, family group sheets, and copies of source documents. These include cemetery photos, obituaries, marriage and death records, Bible records, and census records. There are also biographical sketches and research notes. Of special interest are a copy and transcript of a letter written during the Civil War by W. W. Lyon.
