Abstract: The Biggs collection contains research notes, correspondence, copies of documents, and biographical sketches gathered from a variety of sources. In addition, the files contain various reports that were generated from a genealogy program. These reports summarize much more research than what is found in the files. Most of the research is focused on the Hoblit family, descendants of Johannes Michael Hoblit and Katrina Van Veigle (various spellings) who were married about 1700 in Pennsylvania. The family settled in Kentucky and many of their children moved on to Ohio. There is also research on the Livingston family. One folder focuses on the family of Johann Leib (b. 1725) and Johann Martin Weigel (b. 1703).
