Provenance:

The genealogical research papers of James D. Barnett were donated to the Genealogical Forum of Oregon in 1962. These papers focus on his paternal ancestors. The papers related to his maternal ancestors were sent to a repository in Kentucky. A financial gift accompanied the collection on the condition that the work be compiled into a book and made available to researchers. A group of volunteers worked on this project, the result of which was published by the GFO in 1967 under the title Descendants of William Barnett, 1679-1762 (929.2 Barnett).
