Abstract: The material found in this collection consists of research on the ancestors of BettyJane DeMonnan Balicki, plus some information about her husband’s family. There is information about the family lines in England, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. The research follows the families as they moved west, settling in Illinois, Iowa, and Oregon. Some of the prominent surnames are Balicki, Bayliss, DeMonnin, and Florek. There are many family group sheets and pedigree charts that help the researcher connect the families. There are also biographical sketches that provide context for the lives of the ancestors. Two folders contain reminiscences of Oregon settlers (the origin of these stories in not known).
