Abstract: This postcard collection is comprised of three albums and many loose postcards. The loose postcards and two of the albums were assembled by Delia Andre in the two years preceding her death. Most are addressed to her, some to her husband Edwin. Delia’s son Arlie Glen Andre continued the collection about a year after her death. The third album has postcards addressed to him.
Most of the postcards are dated 1908-1910. The earliest is postmarked September 1906. The latest is postmarked December 1911. Many have no postmarks and were passed between children, parents, and siblings. The bulk are postcards marking special occasions such as Christmas and Easter. Others show scenery, buildings, or amusing images. Correspondence on the postcards is limited to short greetings, family news, and well wishes. Few have the surname of the sender. Many are blank.
