- Finding out where in Norway or Sweden Your Ancestors Came From;
- Navigating the Patronymic Naming System;
- Using the Norwegian National Database;
- Using the Swedish National Database;
- Tips for reading records if you don't know the language.
This is a GFO seminar, but will be held at the Sons of Norway Hall, 111 NE 11th Ave., Portland, OR. Participants may attend in-person or online via Zoom.

Meet Our Speaker:
Our speaker, Doctor Fritz Juengling received his Doctorate in Germanic Philology at the University of Minnesota. As part of his doctoral studies, he studied Sweish, Norwegian, and numerous other Germanic languages and Medieval Latin. He is the former head of the German department at the FamilySearch Library in Salt Lake City. He is an Accredited Genealogist® for Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg through the International Commission for the Accreditation of Professional Genealogists. Dr. Juengling currently runs a genealogy research and translation business.
