About the Forum

The Genealogical Forum of Oregon, Inc. is a non-profit organization founded in 1946.  The objectives of the Forum are to instruct in research, to create an interest in genealogy, and to share, compile and publish genealogical and historical materials.

The Forum is an all volunteer organization with no paid staff. Everything is done by dedicated and loyal volunteers who give of their time and talents to improve opportunities for genealogists. Our 1100+ members enjoy the use of our library, classes, and interest groups to research their genealogy.

The GFO is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
